A Legacy of Quality Wheat
Since 1945, Millford Grain has been at the forefront of the UK grain industry, providing UK millers with imported milling wheat from global suppliers. Originally established in Bristol, the business moved to Liverpool in the early 1970’s with the opening of the Seaforth dock development at the Port of Liverpool that provided users with a deep- water berth, allowing for shipment of larger vessels.
A Collaborative Shipping Model
The business was established to provide economies of scale on freight, by incorporating a merchant and multiple millers who shipped together, benefiting from a shared freight rate. This model continues with our supply chain partners involved with our Canadian spring wheat program to the UK.
Proven Role in Major Supply Chains
Our expertise in shipping Canadian spring wheat has been built over many years and we are proud to have been a part of the Warburtons supply chain for over 25 years and continue to assist in moving their wheat to ports in the UK.
